Five Fun Alternatives to the Traditional Bachelorette Party
Tuesday, November 4, 2014 by SEO Service
When a woman gets engaged, more often than not her time is
occupied with organizing the wedding and finding that perfect dress. That’s why
it’s up to her friends to take some of the stress away by planning the perfect
bachelorette party. And while it’s always enjoyable to spend a night out at a
bar or club with close friends, it doesn’t exactly scream originality. So in
the interests of thinking outside the box, here are some unique bachelorette
party ideas that might just make for a perfect sendoff.
Wine tour
The notion that wine tours and tastings are just for the
snobs left the building many years ago. These days more and more folks of the
younger generations are discovering the joys of sampling some of the great
varietals on offer from wineries throughout the U.S. So what better way to send
off the bride to be into a world of matrimonial bliss than with one or two (or
20) sips of a fine pinot noir? All that’s required is to find a good winery in
the partiers’ area, which can be done here, avoid designated drivers by
booking a solid limo service, such as through Midway Limosine and Car Service, and
imbibe!
Scavenger Hunt
The notion of a good old-fashioned scavenger hunt is a
bachelorette party idea that has been gaining traction the last few years.
That’s because not only is the idea a fun throwback to childhood, it can be
tailored to suit any mood or personality type. Some ladies opt for the standard
scavenger hunt, which sees them following clues that lead ultimately to the
“buried treasure,” which can be anything from gift certificates to lingerie to
bottles of wine and champagne. Those more brazen partiers without much fear of
making fools of themselves can find a cool scavenger hunt here.
Enjoy the great
outdoors
Who said bachelorette parties all need to be about pub
crawls, high heels and drunken karaoke? City girls who want to get back to
basics can plan an outdoor event by organizing a camping trip at the nearest
beach or state park. It’s a perfect way to connect with nature as well as
friends, and the experience will probably end up being more cherished than if
the party ended up at just another nightclub. Also, those with an interest can
try and combine the idea of camping with a yoga retreat.
Dessert crawl
Ladies who like the idea of a pub crawl without all the
alcohol involved can settle on a dessert crawl instead. The idea is a simple
one: make a list of all your favorite desert spots in your city or town and
plan an itinerary to hit each one in a single afternoon or evening. This can be
everything from bakeries to pie shops to cupcake vendors to ice cream stores—or
throw caution to the wind and hit up all four. Just try to avoid slipping into
a diabetic coma by the time the night’s over.
Paintball outing
Another alternative idea that has been gaining momentum over
the last few years is a paintball outing. (After all, why should the boys be
the only ones who get to have fun while getting messy?) What really sets an
event like this apart from a standard guys’ outing is that some girls are even
going so far as to have this paintball shootout in their old bridesmaid
dresses. At the very least it’s an original way to retire that old frock.
