When it comes to the premium tablet of the market, then just two names would come in the front one is the iPad series of Apple and second Galaxy Tab S of Samsung. The most recent member of iPad series is Apple iPad Air 2 which was one of the slimmest and lightest tablets at the launch and later Samsung followed the same path and launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. If we compare the dimensions, both the tablets have the tough fight but being lighter Samsung wins the race.

In terms of display, Samsung has fitted the 10.5 inches screen in the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, which is itself veridict as it is using the technology Super AMOLED. Well, lots of fans were waiting to see this technology in 10.5 diagonal size. Although both the tablets has the high-end resolution but aspect ratio of Galaxy Tab S makes it verdict.

Apple iPad Air 2 is powered with the latest and improved finger print scanner which works like charm and on other hand, Samsung is following the path when it comes to the finger print scanner and it needs lots more refinement. Similar thing happened with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, the tablet is powered with the fast finger print scanner but in this war, Apple is ahead with the Apple iPad Air 2. But you can expect Samsung to improve this with the upcoming launch of new member in the same series.

The battery life of both the devices is almost similar but Samsung takes the lead with Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 longer battery life and associated energy saving modes. It was all about the war between Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Apple iPad Air 2 and the war would not end here. In many aspect Apple iPad Air 2 is ahead, even it is cheaper in price in many of the countries but it could matter of your taste for operating system that which you want to choose between iOS or Android. Both the OS are the most flexible but the most used is Android for no doubt.

These two tabs belongs to high end market of tablet and soon a cheaper solution is about to launch by Samsung in the Android market so called Samsung Tab 5 and on other hand Apple has the different plans and it is even discarding the cheaper series of Apple iPad Mini.
