Samsung Galaxy Alpha – New Approach better results

Samsung finally has launched the metal frame body smartphone in the Galaxy Series but new series named Galaxy Alpha. The new device is powered with the super AMOLED 4.7inches display.

The maximum brightness of the screen of Samsung Galaxy Alpha was 327 cd / m 2, but it is a white pattern in the entire area of the screen. In fact, the brightness of the white color varies depending on the area (average brightness) of the image, and with a decrease in the area of brightness reaches a higher level of 362 cd / m 2. Therefore, the lack of real images in brightness was observed. On the contrary: through the stunning contrast of the screen with self-illuminating pixels of OLEDs image looks rich, deep and legible in all lighting conditions. In this respect, OLED-displays are simply unbeatable. Help and improved anti-reflective properties, is saved from direct exposure.

It is interesting that Samsung continues to improve some aspects, for example, in the current model viewing angles suffer from some "tuning", resulting in lost bluish offset at an angle. Hardly distorted image, except that a limit angle - about 180 degrees - by the screen can be seen "rainbow" overflow, which indicates that a specific polarization. It seems like you can wait and upgrades to future models with screen Super AMOLED. Gamma curve of the screen Samsung Galaxy Alpha are close to optimal and the average value - 2.24. In practice transitions brightness in shadows and light areas are being worked out perfectly, giving the image clarity and depth.

Color, as usually depends on the chosen screen mode. Here are a few to choose from the options: "Main", "Photo AMOLED” and “Film AMOLED". Mode "Adaptive Display" uses different color profiles as needed, but support is available only in certain applications. "Basic" mode combines the best color settings: flat neutral tone image with the average color temperature of about 6500K and a color gamut close to the standard sRGB.

Mode "Photo AMOLED" - is an attempt to simulate the extended color space Adobe RGB, which is sometimes used by professional photographers. This time attempt is good: green (which is the main difference Abobe RGB and sRGB) shifted slightly in shade, but otherwise good accuracy, including the intermediate gradations. Excellent color balance: as in "basic" mode, the deviations here are quite low. This mode is well suited to those who want to see the image with the "sweetened" saturated colors without compromising the overall balance.

To summarize, there is nothing left but to praise the screen. Mobile screens OLED finally got rid of the roughness and deservedly won a high place in ranking. Samsung Galaxy Alpha again showed excellent brightness characteristics and decent color accuracy, but this time it is still worth noting improved viewing angles and anti-glare. But the main thing is something that is not always possible to measure formally. The image looks really deep and realistic, with a very fine study of shadows. There is no doubt that the screen will be able to meet the needs of any user, regardless of the preferences - whether it's accurate or vibrant colors. This is one of the best screens, which can be found in mobile devices. And Samsung will keep this thing in upcoming phones too, for example: Samsung will power Galaxy S7 with such display but with more resolution.
